Smashing little Black Velvet Pillbox type Ladies Hat topped with a black velvet bow, and nice quality netting. Netting is torn at the back, but could be mended with a little skill and patience. Measures 7" diameter overall, and 5" inside. There is no manufacturer's label. c. 1950s. $7 US Shipping.

Wonderful old Ladies Hat, black, fur-covered (either lamb or seal), grosgrain ribbon decoration, and around edge, sturdy netting goes over the hair in back. There are white areas on the underside and a few on the topside where something like paint has been spilled on the hat. With the right product, these could probably be removed (although we do not guarantee that). Label says, "The May Company, Los Angeles," with and "M" and the May Co. logo. Signed Decorative Metal Skillet by Georges Briard, pineapple design on back of skillet, gilt decorates the black enameled handle, much of the design, and around the edges of the pan. Truly exquisite Enamelware Bowl in a lovely, one-of-a-kind foliate design. You can be sure you'll never see another just like this one; done by a skilled artist by the name of Florentina McKinney, in North Carolina. Ms. McKinney embellished both sides of the bowl, rarely seen. Signed by artist initials, "FM" in wire on verso. About 7" diameter, 3/4" deep. Excellent condition. $12 US Shipping.

Such a lovely, larger bowl in copper and black over copper, and dotted with two large glass "jewels" within two keys. 9-3/4" diameter, 1" deep. Bargain priced because this piece has quite a bit of "crazing" under the glaze, both on the front and on the back. Some pictured, but not all. It still displays beautifully and would be a fine piece within a collection. $12 US Shipping.

Very, very heavy, Mid-Century, unusual, Raymor, Italy, Bowl/Ashtray, with bold enameled, abstract fruit. The surface of the bowl/ashtray has the appearance of igneous material, but is a frothy, bubbly, very thick glaze. The piece measures 10-3/4" square, 2-1/4" tall. While the condition is excellent with no damage at all, the two cigarette indentions are stained. We have had great success in removing stains from porcelain and pottery and will be happy to pass this on to the buyer. ...click for details
