Genuine and somewhat rare, miniature woodblock print lightly glued to a card, with artist's signature in the print, lower left, and his name, "Shotei" penciled lower right, for Takahashi Shotei. "Made in Japan" stamped in red on verso, as well as "1-51" penciled under the print, on the card. The diminutive print measures 4" x 2-7/8". The outer card measures 6-7/8" x 4-1/2". We know nothing about this print beyond our detailed observations. We have not removed it from the frame for examination. The visible image area is 5-1/4" x 3-1/2"; it is in a wood frame which has lost one side of the gold metal overlay, and has dents on two remaining sides of the overlay; removing all metal overlay would greatly improve the present framing appearance.
