French Plate from 1920s, one of what was surely a series of 12 transfer print, calendar plates, this one "Juin," for the month of June. Considerable wear to the design and much loss of gilt around the scalloped rim. A lovely shape and pattern in the plate, itself. Unseen in the last photo, is a ...click for details

Blue underglaze mark with Beehive trademark of "Dunn Bennett & Co., Burslem, England," gilder's mark, "N" in gilt, 8-1/8" Luncheon Plate in the "Florence" pattern. Mark indicates age to be as old as 1886, and possibly as late as 1936. We believe this plate has a likely date of around 1910.
