This is an older Clock, made in Germany, which was, at some point, converted to battery operation. Takes a C battery, and I don't have one, but we're pretty sure it works. Originally it had 4 jewels, German movement, and was an 8-day Clock. Now it still has the look of an antique, but operates much easier, and only needs a battery to make it run. Has what we believe is the original crystal. Some of the tiny 15 jewels can be seen in the photos -- what look to be rubies and a sapphire (although we do not guarantee). The inside of the back piece has some numbers and letters which a ...click for details

Europa Clock, 2 Jewels, Made in Germany, original mother-of-pearl dial, enameled hour and minute hands, alarm hand, swivels on brass or gold-plated mounts, and frame and base are marble, likely Italian. 8-3/8" tall, both the clock marble and the base are each nearly 4" diameter. Two minor issues: it cannot be wound because it needs to be cleaned; the rod into the clock marble seems to be slightly bent, or more likely, a gold washer might be missing. Cleaning and straightening of the ...click for details
