We do not know if these are Chinese or Japanese. They are precious, old, tiny display stands, probably for small figurine carvings. They each measure 3/4" tall, 1-1/4" diameter in the display area, and 1-1/2" diameter base. Believe they are constructed of a cardboard type material, and covered in woven silk, silk fuchsia lining on display areas. An old set of Mahjong (or Ma-Chiang, or Sparrow, other names for Mahjong). This set is dated 1924 in the Rules Booklet. Two sets of dice, the larger may be ivory, but can't say for sure. The tiles are made of boxwood, and the faces are overlaid with printed paper. The lid of the box is impressed in gilt, "Par-a-mount's Chinesema Jong Game," along with a gilt impression of dragons.
