Exquisite celadon, very pale green with the most slight bluish cast, Asian Vase, hand incised signature on base, incised flying cranes under the glaze, two round handles, beautifully shaped and balanced. 7-3/4" tall, 6" largest diameter, 1-7/8" diameter rim. Impressive small sculpture, hand carved wood, woman carrying sticks, a large knife, and smoking a pipe. Both the pipe and the knife definitely appear to be unfinished ebony wood, and the bottom of the base also appears to be ebony; and it appears that the remainder of the sculpture may have had a black glaze placed over it. Not certain, but that's how it appears. It could very well be solid ebony throughout. Ebony is now a very expensive, rare wood. This is a beautiful small sculpture, ...click for details

Exquisitely and intricately handpainted eggshell porcelain cup and saucer, signed on the base of each piece by the artist, in red. Two differing scenes of two wmen and a child, with lots of gold in the scenes and around the tiny patterns of the foliate rims of both pieces.
