We are not 100% certain this is a Military Pin, minus the ribbon, but feel reasonably confident. However, we do not guarantee that it is; sure looks like one to us, though. It measures about 2-1/4" long, 1/2" at the widest point. Age and origin unknown, as we find no marks. Clean the back well, and you might find a mark. Very good condition with oxidation to the metal, and slight bend to the pin portion on back. $3 US Shipping.

Gold plated Silver (vermeil), "800" European, Plique-a-Jour filigree enameling Butterfly Pin, with luscious coloring. 1.75" wide, 1.50" long. In addition to the "800" mark, there is another mark which we cannot identify. Appears to have all of the gold intact, and may have a couple of cracks to the enameling; however, what we are seeing with magnification is likely original to manufacture. Mother of Pearl look gold-tone pin which is actually a Magnet! A great item for the seamstress to hold her pins, needles, etc. Probably the 20th century version of the Victorian Chatelaine. Not quite sure what this beautiful stone is, but believe it is glass. Truly a lovely piece, set in gold-tone metal, and with an interest "clasp" at the back which makes it work well for scarves around the neck, or ties, and will hold them gathered quite well. Cabachon decoratin is 7/8" diameter, entire piece is 1-5/8" side-to-side. Excellent condition with some cleanable oxidation to the metal. Unmarked, age and origin unknown.
