An old set of Mahjong (or Ma-Chiang, or Sparrow, other names for Mahjong). This set is dated 1924 in the Rules Booklet. Two sets of dice, the larger may be ivory, but can't say for sure. The tiles are made of boxwood, and the faces are overlaid with printed paper. The lid of the box is impressed in gilt, "Par-a-mount's Chinesema Jong Game," along with a gilt impression of dragons. Four fascinating Dice, the largest of which appears to be Ivory, although we cannot say for certain -- it measures 7/16" cubed. The medium size both look like Bakelite, with one light and the other darker; and again, we cannot be certain of the material. The medium dice measure about 3/8" cubed.
