Not a 21st Century knockoff, but a genuine early 20th Century Florentine Tray from Italy (and possibly earlier), with attractively shaped foliate rim, and hand tooling, including hand tooling on the back. Generous amounts of Florentine gold with touches of ecru, red, and green. A very fine Enamelware-on-Copper, three piece set, which we believe is Scandinavian in origin, although it is unmarked. Unmistakably mid-century, with teakwood box and candleholder. The huge bowl measures nearly 14" in diameter, with a height of 1-1/2". The teakwood Candle Sconce is 16-1/4" tall, with the enamel reflector being 10" x 4", and the holder extension nearly 4" from the wall. Wall mirror with giltwood matting edged in gold beading within the oval, framed in ivory colored decorative frame. The gold mat has 2-color gold stenciling giving a nice, subdued decoration. Oval measures about 13.50" x 10.50", while the outside frame is 20" x 17". With the exception of one missing leaftip and three dots of loss to the silvering, the mirror is in great condition. This painting, and several others which we have listed, is by 20th century amateur artist, David Hilbrand (1905-2002) who lived to be 97, painting to the end. He was a prolific painter, and many of his works were quite well done. In a very loose style, David has captured some interesting scenes in these several paintings.
