Banko Ware Pottery Dragon Bowl Hand Formed Hand Glazed

We believe this to be Banko Ware. This is truly a wonderful work of art. If you would like to see more photos, please email us, as it was impossible to capture all of the nuances of this very elaborate dragon that encircles the bowl (ashtray). The indentions in this bowl seem to be decorated in the form of clouds; and the dragon is intricately formed. The bowl is in good condition, with a few sharp, tusk-like tips which have broken off. They have not been pointed out in the photos, but again, will be happy to email detailed photos. Probably mid 20th century, but actual age and actual origin unknown. $9 US Shipping.
