Pale green antique Venetian Glass Plate with Drops on the underside which show through the top side of the plate. The plate rests on a slender ring-foot with original clipped pontil in the center. Tiny, thinning trails of the drops were allowed to "drip" over the ring foot, and those drips are where the plate has rested when in contact with a surface. These little drips exhibit the "foam" of external bubbles inherent in mouthblown glass, and some of them are sharp indicating tiny bits have broken off in use. We have provided a closeup of this, and actually do not consider it as damage, but an inevitability of the "drips" having fallen onto the foot; and this event does not extend to the drops themselves. A little work with a piece of emory cloth would smooth them if this is a concern. 6-7/8" diameter.
