As you can see in the photo, what was once silver in color now has a gold cast to it. We were unable to remove this finish with our mild silver polish, but you may be successful in restoring the silver. There is a label on the base stating there is a "tarnish resistant finish," so perhaps if you were able to remove that finish, the silver might return. Or, maybe you can figure out some way to make them totally gold in appearance. At any rate, these were at one time, very special candleholders, and representative of the era in which they were made. Imagine them with candles to create a striking 1940s, 50s look. Labels on both, and impressed WMF Ikora Germany signature on each. 2-3/4" diameter holder at rim, 4-3/4" front to back, 2-5/8" tall.
