Rare, First Edition, Signed Book-let, THE MYSTERY ERA OF AMERICAN PEWTER 1928-1931, by Carolyn A. Smith and Peggy R. Hixon. Inscription on title page by author, Smith, stating: "To Mary and Ralph, Hope you enjoy the book, Carolyn." Published by Universal Press, Oklahoma City, 1979, 73 pages, with index, many b/w photos of marks and items, the booklet states that (paraphrased) pewter made a comeback in 1928, with every silver manufacturer producing and advertising it, and then abruptly in 1932, there was no more advertising of pewter, and the manufacturers were again back to silver, with pewter manufacture at a halt. This booklet seems to cover all of those manufacturer marks during that brief period of time. Both the cover and the interior are in excellent condition. $3 US Media Mail, or $6 US Priority Mail.
