Lovely old porcelain, ceramic Casket, Hinged Box with gold colored brass? gold-plated? Mounts. The handpainted, monochrome scene on the lid is a park-like setting with a couple in 19th century dress, sitting on a large log. The woman holds a basket of flowers, while the gentleman plays a mandolin. 4" x 3-1/2" x 1-1/2" tall. Great undamaged condition, with only some minor finish loss to the mounts; no loss to the painting at all; no cracks, no chips. Reverse hand-signed in gold, "Orlik" and "Handpainted," plus a logo with "HO" inside, presumably for H. Orlik.
