Vintage Cellini Italy Majolica Lamp Base Grotesque Mask

Would be great as a small lamp in a kitchen, powder room, foyer, bedroom, dressing room, sunroom. Fabulous early-mid 20th Century Italian Pottery, Majolica Lamp Base, signed "Cellini, Italy," on base. There is a hole in the side base for a cord, and the lamp rod accommodation goes all the way through, so reconverting to a lamp will be no problem at all. Two small flakes -- one on a grotesque mask "handle," and the other near the top opening where it will likely be covered with a connecting disk when assembled again into a lamp. It measures 8-1/2" tall, about 7" widest diameter at masks. A special piece, indeed. Condition as described and photographed. Probably circa 1940s, 1950s. $18 US Shipping.
