Great vintage Dorothy Thorpe Coffee and Dessert Set .... Service for eight (8) .... 8, 24K gold-lined cups (keep these shining with mild silver polish), 8 saucers, 8 dessert plates, one creamer, and one sugar with lid. None of these are marked, but we can guarantee they are, indeed, Dorothy Thorpe, mid-century as we have had others by this manufacturer, an exact match, and distinctly marked. There is no doubt as to their authenticity. Note the "weave" pattern, a distinct modernist design for these true 1950s dessert pieces. The cups measure a generous 4" diameter, 2" tall; saucer at 6" diameter, and dessert plate at 7-5/8" diameter.
