$225

This blackjack dates from the early to mid 1900's and is a small, easily-concealed weapon consisting of a leather-wrapped lead weight attached to the end of a leather-wrapped coil spring. The strap on the end opposite the weight wraps around the wrist.

It works by storing kinetic energy in the dense core when swung, this stored energy then spreads the impact over a larger surface area; the leather covering lessens the chance of lacerating the skin and the chance of breaking bones. A blow from this weapons is very painful and numbing and usually incapacitates the victim. When directed at the head, it works by concussing the brain usually without cutting the scalp. This is meant to stun or knock the subject out, but in inexperienced hands can break bones or kill quite easily. It is probably for this reason that police forces eventually phased them out in favour of the wooden "Billie Clubs".

Length: 8 inches, Wrist Strap: 7 1/2 inches, Width: 3/4 inch, Weight: 6 1/2 ounces (183grams).

Comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
