DUTCH COAST GUARD PISTOL

This beautiful percussion pistol is a Belgian copy of a Tower pistol made in the early 1800's for the Dutch Coast Guard.
There are no visible stamps or marking and although there may be some on the underside of the barrel, I did not try and remove it to find out. The 60 cal. barrel has minor inside rust and is 5 5/8 inches long, overall length is 11 1/2 inches. The pistol weighs 30 1/5 ounces and is in fine working condition.
This pistol was a family heirloom and had been in the seller's family for about 100 years; it was acquired in Holland after WW II.
I always recommend checking with a qualified gunsmith before firing any antique firearm.
Because this is an antique, it does not require registration in Canada or the U.S.A.
