Magnificent solid silver punch bowl with Asian chop marks. It holds 7 1/2 quarts to the brim. Eleven inches in diameter, 5 and 11/16 inches high. Repouse decoration around entire bowl and on the bottom. I thought this was Chinese because the chop marks appear to be such. Sotheby's told me it appeared to be made for the European market. An independent collector of Chinese silver told me that it looked like a piece sold in Bali. Probably late 19th to mid 20th century...

The base of the tea pot and creamer have old repairs, probably with lead, that have been covered with silver plate. These do show upon close inspection, but are not immediately noticeable.
