Looking forward hearing from you....Unusual hard to find vintage Fire King 8 oz. peach lustre Rio Grande Souvenir D handle coffee mug. Circa late 1960 to 1970. An advertisement mug made for the Rio Grande Shippers Rail Road. On one side it has MAIN LINE Rio Grande THRU THE ROCKIES and on the opposite side is a map showing the route for their Utah - Colorado line and all of the connecting railroad lines as well as the stations. It can be found in Gene Florence's book, Fire-King & More, Second Edition on page 159. There are several different designs made by Anchor Hocking, but this is the one that is listed in the book. On the bottom it is marked with 10 dots arched over ANCHOR HOCKING (A.H. logo) Fire-King OVENPROOF 53 MADE IN U.S.A. It measures 3 ¼" in diameter at the top, 2 ¾" in diameter at the bottom, and is 3 ½" tall. No chips, cracks, repairs, stains, or usage marks. There is a bit of paint loss in the decals on the mug. Does not distract from the beauty of this mug. Still retains a vibrant peach lustre color. Please see the pictures for details.
