Vintage hand painted Cookie Jar with lid, Salt and Pepper Shakers.
Made by the Harper J. Ransburg Company of Indianapolis, Indiana.
(Cork stoppers are inside the shakers)
The 3 pieces are an excellent example of American Production Art ware Pottery. Ransburg started making this line of decorative stoneware Pottery During the Depression Era. Trained decorators hand painted each piece on the production line in cheerful colors and lovely patterns such as this Aster flowers.
Markings - Hallmark:
RANSBURG GENUINE HAND PAINTED INDIANAPOLIS USA
Trademark is shaped like an artists pallet with brushes.

1940.

Cookie Jar:
6" in diameter at the top.
6" in diameter at the bottom.
9 ½" tall.
Salt & Pepper:
3 ¼" in diameter.
3 ¼" tall.
Condition:
No chips, cracks, scratches, stains, or repairs.
Only a few pieces of paint are missing.
Nothing dramatic.
Excellent condition!
