Audubon's Animals - 1954 Book

This magnificent book, from 1954, is titled Audubon's Animals - The Quadrupeds of North America - and is a reprint compiled and edited by Alice Ford. It contains 156 large and beautiful animal prints. Most of the prints are black & white, but there are 16 full color large plates included. This collection was put together for the hundredth anniversary of Audubon's death and is a compilation of other editions, plus some new discoveries that have not been included in previous books. It also tells the story of Audubon's life through his diary and letters. This book is in excellent condition and included is the book's original paper jacket, which is a little worn around the edges, but otherwise is in very good condition. This lovely book is quite a find!
