Decorative Brass Serving Pieces

This is a beautiful old set of old brass. It is signed only on the nut cracker looking piece, with two words, Rossi and Italy. I have not found any information on these pieces. When I received these, they were covered in spots with a thick varnish like substance. They were very dark, dirty and ugly. The only thing that I found that would clean them up was Brasso. There are 5 pieces and I will guess the age at pre 1900 until I find out anything different. The design could suggest much older. Maybe someone out here who knows more about these will write me. They are in good condition for its age. They are unusual, to say the least, and a piece of history. As it is with anything in the store, offers are considered.
