JAMES Candy Co PAPER-MACHE Barrel Bank, Original Box

This wonderful Paper-Mache Barrel Bank was made for 'The James Candy Co' for Salt Walter Taffy, Atlantic City, NJ. The Bank has a tin lid. On the lid: JAMES-ATLANTIC CITY, NJ-CUT TO FIT THE MOUTH. The Bank measures 7" high X 5 1/4" in diameter. It held 1 pound of Taffy. Stamped on the bottom: US PAT NO. 122396. The Bank is in great condition with no holes or tears; the box is really good. All writing is very good. I would guess this came from the Boardwalk in Atlantic City possibly in the 1950s. There is no zip code on the box in the address.
