I believe this very unusual pin to be from the Georgian era, but am not positive. It measures approx. 2 5/8" across and is made of what appears to be steel and an amethyst stone set in the center. It has a "C" clasp and an early Tube hinge on the reverse, and is just beautiful! The clasp and hinge are in perfect working condition, although the "pin" itself is a tiny bit bent. The design is a bit off center (see photos), which leads me to believe that this most likely was not european made and may have been made domestically by hand.I am not knowledgeable about jewelry of this age, so please email any questions you may have, as I may have missed some detail that's important to you. S&H is an additional $8.00 within the continental U.S. International shipping is also available.
