Three marks:(1) French second standard mark of a head facing right and the numeral 2 (800 silver after 1838); (2) capital letter E (Charleville?); (3) an illegible mark. Shaft needs slight regulating; overall condition otherwise excellent. Mark condition of first two marks is excellent.

The best known silversmith using an NA mark is Nathaniel Austin of Boston (but this is not one of his published marks). Length 5-1/8". The monogram is a lengthwise sprigged script PG.
