Kane mark F. Double scroll handle. Height 4-7/8". Diameter of mouth 3"; of base 3-3/8". Weight 12.2 troy ounces. Original monogram MT in block letters on handle. Later script monogram "H.J.Little 1849" on front for Hall Jackson Little, bookseller of Portland, ME. Owned by same family from at least 1849 to us. MT may be for Mary Thurston, a collateral ancestor born in 1746. Overall and mark condition are excellent.
