Marked W and 3 pseudohallmarks. Shells on front and back of handle and on the heel (drop). Fiddle thread. Length 13-1/8". Bowl is 4" across and 3-1/4" from front to back. The monogram is an Old English K on the top of the handle. Overall and mark condition are excellent.
Wongshing worked in Canton in the first half of the 19th century. This is the best Chinese soup ladle we have ever owned. We have scans of the shells as well as the illustration here of the entire ladle.
