Marked three times on bottom. This distinctive J:B mark is attributed tentatively by Yale to J. Bard of PA. J.Bard of Philadelphia, c.1800, is listed in books by Thorn, Okie, and Ensko, but no mark is illustrated. Acquired from a source that says it came from a family that also had a Baltimore beaker...

Marked I.W.TUCKER/SANFRANCISCO.CAL, name and location each in a rectangle. Octagonal, double-scroll handle, engine-turned design with large reserve on the front. Applied molded rim top and base. Height of handle 3-13/16"; of body 3-1/4". Diameter of mouth 2-5/8"; of base 2-7/8". Weight 4-1/4 troy ounces. There is a script monogram M.C. on the front in a reserve. Mark condition is good; overall condition is also good (many minor dents in body).

Not literally a pair (different makers) but virtually identical. One is Continental and the other English. Length 1-5/8"; width 1-1/8"; height 1-1/2". Weight of 2 is a little under 2 troy ounces. No monogram. Overall condition is excellent; mark condition is very good.

Attached rectangular compartment with 5/8" round hole through side of mug near bottom into compartment, to allow liquid from shaving brush to flow into the mug. Domed cover with applied bird finial. Applied decorative bands near the top and the bottom of the body; two rows of molded banding around the mug . Single scroll handle. Height of handle 5-1/2"; of body 4-3/4". Diameter of mouth and base 3-1/8"...

Handle clips on side of bowl. Strainer piercing is of a 6-petal flower plus circles between. Diameter 4". Weight 2.6 troy ounces. The monogram is a script C on the handle. Overall and mark condition are excellent.

Weight 5-1/4 troy ounces (relatively heavy). The monogram on the front in a reserve is a script M.C.P./July 23rd/1829. Script monograms on the bottom: Katharine Shippen Dunn/23rd July 1904/from her Grandmother/M.C.Shippen; Katharine Shippen Kramer/7th May 1937...

Marked "Pure Silver Coin". Holds 8 slices (9 wires). Carrying handle, 4 ball feet. Length 6-3/4", width (of wires) 4-1/2", height to top of handle 6-1/2". Weight 10-3/4 troy ounces (heavy). Overall and mark condition are excellent. A truly "museum quality" piece. A rare form in American silver; works well for holding letters/envelopes on a desk, or for its original use for toast.

One appears to be marked with a single letter on the bottom but I can't read it. Applied top and base rims with fine beading. Height 3-1/2". Mouth diameter 3". Base diameter 2-1/2". Weight of the pair is 6.65 troy ounces. The script monogram is EFGS on both pieces. Overall condition is excellent.
