Three marks:(1) French second standard mark of a head facing right and the numeral 2 (800 silver after 1838); (2) capital letter E (Charleville?); (3) an illegible mark. I need help with this one. (1)What is the purpose of this form? (I have guessed ring stand). (2) Who is the maker? It is marked METROPOLI/925/STERLING. Oval tray with vertical twist stem - small knob at top. Length 5-58". Width 3-5/8". Weight 3 troy ounces. No monogram. Overall and mark condition are excellent (a few salt spots on the tray).
