3-piece tea service by John C. Moore, NY, c.1840's

Retailed by Mulford & Wendell; Albany, NY. Large embossed floral reserve on each side (one with monogram), single scroll handle on pot and creamer, two handles on covered sugar bowl (silver finial on the separate lid and on the teapot lid), ivory insulators on teapot, 5-lug hinge on teapot lid, each piece on four cast feet. Teapot height 8", maximum horizontal dimension 10", capacity 4 pints. Weight of 3 pieces = 51.9 troy ounces. The monogram on one side of each piece is a script AP. Overall and mark condition are excellent.
