Gravy ladle by D. Smith, circa 1840

Fiddle, sharp fins (squared). The mark is D.SMITH in a serrated rectangle. Length 8-3/8" (long handle). Bowl width 2-7/16"; front to back 2". Weight 1.6 troy ounces. The monogram is a lengthwise script JES. Overall and mark condition are excellent.
