Chinese compote on wood stand, in original box

By Hung Chong, marked HC and an ideogram on the edge of the base. Second half of 19th century. Eight chased panels, cyma-curved edge, dragon stem, bolted to partly chased and engraved ring base. Height on stand 7+"; height of compote 5". Diameter of bowl 6-1/2"; of base 3-3/4"; of wood base 5-3/4". Weight of silver 12.4 troy ounces. No monogram. Overall condition is excellent (the wood box and blue felt interior show some wear). Mark condition is excellent.
