Child's cup by Curry&Preston, Philadelphia, circa 1829

Chased floral design all around. Single scroll handle. Marked CURRY&PRESTON in a serrated rectangle. Height of handle 4-1/8"; of body 3-1/2". Diameter of mouth 3-1/4"; of base 2-1/8". Weight 5-1/4 troy ounces (relatively heavy). The monogram on the front in a reserve is a script M.C.P./July 23rd/1829. Script monograms on the bottom: Katharine Shippen Dunn/23rd July 1904/from her Grandmother/M.C.Shippen; Katharine Shippen Kramer/7th May 1937. Mark condition is excellent; overall condition is also excellent although there appears to be damage to the small piece at the bottom of the handle.
