This was a very unique find. I knew this was some type of magnifying glass, but that was all. This type of glass is most difficult to find and one encased like this with felt on the bottom, is RARE indeed. Bought at an estate sale several years ago, it has been a knick-knack in my office. One day, my friend's 91-year-old mom noticed it. She told us that "it was used in schools to help the blind children read". Original vintage ROY ROGERS paint-by-number pictures. One picture shows Roy Rogers with Trigger, his beloved horse. Bullet, his German Sheppard, shares the other picture. The painter of these pictures did a wonderful job. I would have loved to be able to paint one of these "old" paint-by-number pictures as well. All I ever did was make a mess!!
