$45.00 INCLUDES INSURED SHIPPING USA

Jardiniere, (ornamental planter), with squared form, swelled sides, low rectangular mouth and tab side handles. Small block feet, turquoise ground with embossed floral sprig in purple and turquoise. This vintage jardiniere is 4 1/2" tall, with no chips, cracks, etc. I do not have this dated yet, but I suspect in the 1940's or before. Has stood it little ground for over 65 years!!

Made in Japan by Otagiri, this jar with a hinged cover is hand crafted. This is one of the best locking containers I have ever seen. When you unlatch it, the lid bursts open. Excellent seal. This is also a contradiction to the knowledge I have on Japanese wares. The ring aound the lid of the container is marked Made In Japan. The foil sticker on the bottom reads, HAND CRAFTED Otagiri, Japan. This container stands 7 1/2" tall and 13" round. Very gently used. Perfect condition.

The colors are different shades of orange and rust, tiny blue flowers and two birds in the blue and rust color. No markings, but was purchased at estate sale with another similar vase that is marked Made in Japan. Gold is used for accent and around the mouth. Perfect condition.
