Hand decorated Porcelain vase, made pre-war in Japan, is being offered for sale. Marking for Japan is made into the bottom of the porcelain. It is a smooth creamy color, with gold throughout. The scene on the front, within the gold circle, feels rough to the touch. Almost as if it were lightly sanded. No chips or cracks. Would be in pristine condition, except some of the gold has rubbed off the bottom left side of the circle. Vase is 6 1/2" tall and 9 1/2" round.

Jardiniere, (ornamental planter), with squared form, swelled sides, low rectangular mouth and tab side handles. Small block feet, turquoise ground with embossed floral sprig in purple and turquoise. This vintage jardiniere is 4 1/2" tall, with no chips, cracks, etc. I do not have this dated yet, but I suspect in the 1940's or before. Has stood it little ground for over 65 years!!

Two 7 1/2" POLISHED Pewter plates, Handcrafted by Wilton. I have tried to research these, but to no avail. They are engraved for The Savoy Company. One is 1990, the other 1991. It appears that these were Theater Plays, as the plate dates confirm that. I do not know if the Plates were awards, memorabilia or decorative, but they are both engraved. The 1990 Plate is for "Princess Ida", and the 1991 Plate for "Trial By Jury-The Sorcerer". The pewter on the front of the plates has been polished...

The Avon Rose, 1987, is Avon's 15th Anniversary custom-designed Award Plate. Made of fine porcelain and trimmed with 22k gold, it was made in Japan, exclusively for Avon. In honor of your 15th Anniversary as an Avon Representative. Measures 8 1/2" round. Perfect condition.

Handmade in England, this wall plaque is made of ENAMEL on COPPER. The scene depicts an English village along the road. The gold frame is 4 1/2 " square, with the round art piece being 2 1/4" round. Various colors include white, browns, blues and yellows. Absolutely lovely art piece, with the artist's information on back. Mid-20th Century

This 6 1/2" collectors plate was made by Pirken-Hammer, Czechoslovakia, between 1918 and 1945. I used the German translation to try and translate the words on the plate. It has something to do with sports association. There is gold trim around the edge of the plate and it looks worn in a few places. The scene on the plate almost looks like pencil sketching. It is in perfect condition, no chips or cracks.

A beautiful pair of hand sewn pearl screw-back earrings. The back is signed Japan. There are 3 sizes of pearls, intricately woven around to make this stunning pair. In perfect condition, other than being gently worn. They were made circa 1940. Time has been kind to them. they measure approximately one-inch in diameter. The pearls are champagne colored, very pretty. Be sure and look at the pictures. Truly the earrings are great works of lasting beauty!

Made in Japan by Otagiri, this jar with a hinged cover is hand crafted. This is one of the best locking containers I have ever seen. When you unlatch it, the lid bursts open. Excellent seal. This is also a contradiction to the knowledge I have on Japanese wares. The ring aound the lid of the container is marked Made In Japan. The foil sticker on the bottom reads, HAND CRAFTED Otagiri, Japan. This container stands 7 1/2" tall and 13" round. Very gently used. Perfect condition.

Still in the box, never worn. This is a Harry Potter wristwatch from Avon 2000. A very nice collectible piece of jewelry. The watch face shows Harry Potter in a "hologram". The back is marked with Warner Bros. trademark and copyright 2001, (although the box shows Avon 2000). The silver trim around the watch is "brushed" silver and very pretty. The watch measures 1 1/2" diameter. The band is black plastic/leather and will adjust for wrists 5" to 9"...

This 10" plate shows a long ago scene of rural America, by Currier and Ives. From research, I have discovered that this is also an Avon Award. It was awarded to Avon Representatives for their service in 1977. I did not think there were any markings on the plate until I learned that little tidbit. When I looked again, there appears to be an A and 7 written together as one. I hope the picture shows it. As always, thanks for stopping by.

Stunning Japanese vase made post-war in the Satsuma syle. This vase stands 11" tall, 20" round and the mouth opening is 2 3/4" across. The colors are different shades of orange and rust, tiny blue flowers and two birds in the blue and rust color. No markings, but was purchased at estate sale with another similar vase that is marked Made in Japan. Gold is used for accent and around the mouth. Perfect condition.

Hand Painted Limited Edition Christmas plate. Simple scene with Christmas tree, lit candles and toys under the tree. It is trimmed in gold, signed and dated in gold on the back. The simplicity of this Christmas plate is very heartwarming. Measures 8 1/2" round.
