This lovely, hand~painted chocolate set probably dates to around the 40's or 50's and is hallmarked "Shofu Made In Japan" as shown. The set consists of seven pieces...the pot and lid, which measure approximately 9 1/4" in height with the lid seated, and 6 handled cups which are approximately 2 3/4" in height. This lovely little Dragonware nappy was produced by Fleetwood China and is marked "Made in Occupied Japan", as shown, which dates it from sometime between 1945 and 1952. Duodecagonal (12~sided) in shape, this piece features the wonderful moriage dragon in the center and is done in the more traditional colors of dragonware.
