Vintage Hand~Painted Cobalt And Floral Cup & Saucer

This is another beautiful item which had belonged to my grandmother. Though unmarked, I feel almost certain that this eggshell porcelain cup & saucer were made in Japan and probably date to the 1930's or earlier.
Vibrant pink and purple hand~painted flowers are enhanced by a rich frame of cobalt blue with gold accents...quite captivating!
The cup is approximately 3 3/4" in diameter at the rim and 2" in height, while the saucer is 5 5/8" in diameter. Both pieces are free of nicks, chips or crazing. Just beautiful!
