This pretty piece matches the blue satin pitcher also listed at this time. Entitled "Day At The Beach", this heart~shaped covered candy box features a Mary Gregory styled design depicting a little boy with a sailboat and a little girl with a pail walking hand~in~hand along the sand. The contrast of the white enamel against the vibrant blue background is quite striking.
This piece is from the 2008 catalog and retains its original Fenton label. It is handpainted and signed by Sue Jackson and numbered #202/#1250 as shown. The candy box measures approximately 6 1/2" in length, 6 1/2" at the widest point and 2 1/2" in height with the lid seated. Excellent condition!
