Caprice is probably Cambridge's most collected non~etched pattern. It comes in two different styles...the plain crystal and the style with the frosted accents, known as Alpine, like this bowl. I would consider the shape of this piece to be almost that of a "float" bowl, even though it is quite large at 12 1/2" in diameter and 3" in height. The moonlight blue coloring is just gorgeous and the frosted section seems to add more depth to the piece. Overall, the bowl is in very good condition. If is free of any chips, nicks or cracks, but it does have some minimal signs of usage, primarily in the center. Since that area is frosted though, they don't show up as much as on plain crystal.
