Vintage Hand Painted Bohemian Lidded Punch Set

Impress your guests this holiday season with punch, wassail or spiced cider served from this gorgeous blown and hand painted punch set.

After consulting various "glassies" both here and abroad, the consensus is that this set is probably vintage Bohemian in origin. Contributing factors in this determination include the styling, hand painted decoration, lid, and rims that were evidently finished with an orbital polisher, leaving them smooth and flat on the top. In addition, the glass gives off a nice yellow glow when held under a black light.

You will be receiving the punch bowl and lid in addition to 10 cups with applied handles and a clear, glass ladle. It is apparent that at one point in time, there was a gold band near the top of the punch bowl and also gold on the rims of the pieces. The majority of this has worn away through time and usage, but there is still a minor amount on the bowl and a couple of the cups. I'm sure this could probably be removed totally if you wished to do so, but it's not that bad and actually adds a bit more character to the set.

All of the pieces are free of any chips or cracks and the glass is nice and clear. A beautiful and unusual set to say the least.
