| This Central Glass Cigarette Goblet (Torchere) has an etched and gilded lovebird or exotic parrot design and a topaz yellow/amber ashtray base and foot. The inside of the bowl is a hex optic design. Excellent condition, no chips or cracks, gilding on bird is intact. Note: the line in the base in the pictures is a very light manufacturing straw mark that can be barely seen but is picked up and accentuated by the camera and the flash; I never knew it was there until studying the glass after viewing the pictures. Central Glass opened in the 1860s (in Wheeling WV) and closed in 1939, never recovering from the Depression. | ||||||
