Cambridge Amethyst Caprice Decanter Set, Farber Krome

This set includes a Cambridge Glass Caprice #187 Amethyst 35 oz. Decanter with Duchess Filagree design Farber Bros. Krome Kraft chrome holder and 6 of the #188 Amethyst Caprice 2 oz. tumblers. All of the glass, including the stopper, is in excellent condition. The holder has some cracking (but it isn't split) along the bottom of the holder (area above the foot) and large darkened area in one spot, also near the bottom. The other set I have has this same cracking; and the holders are are very tight (so I didn't try to remove them); this must have occurred over time because of the shape, large amount of chrome, and snugness. See picture 5 for the dark spot and cracking (just the part circled in the picture, most everything else seen in the chrome in the picture are reflections; very hard to get a good shot of these issues). Still displays beautifully and this is a rare set. Measurements: decanter: 7 1/4" high to top of stopper; tumblers: 2 3/4" high. Made only from the mid 1930s-mid 1940s in only 4 colors.
