Willitts Designs Musical Carousel, Wind-Up Music Box

This is a large wind-up musical carousel with 4 horses. The music box plays, "The Carousel Waltz". It is made of porcelain and is approximately 12" tall x 8" in diameter. The Japanese are known for precision manufacturing and excellent quality control - Sankyo is no exception. They make excellent music box movements, featuring rich tone and a very polished appearance, as evidenced by this piece. They still use the Geneva Stop on top of the spring barrel, something even the Swiss movements have eliminated to cut costs. Unfortunately, the certificate is missing and I have it priced with that in mind. It is in beautiful, working condition with no defects or damage. Please ask for more information and/or pictures.
