This bridal dress was made in the 1960's for a bridal shop miniature scene. The dress is a replica of a typical brides dress of the 19th century with mutton leg sleeves and the loose full bustle being popular in the latter half of the century. The mannequin stands 5 1/2" tall.
This permanently posed retro 1950's teenager is 4 1/2" long. Well dressed for the era in pink corduroy slacks, pink floral on burgundy belted blouse and pink slippers, all made just for her. Her long blond hair is swept up into a pony tail. This doll mold and doll were contemporary when they were made in the mid 50's. Andy would be right at home on the farm with his outdoor tan and bare feet. His denim overalls and red and white plaid shirt were handmade just for him. He stands 3 3/4" tall, has blond hair and blue eyes. Movable arms and legs, frozen head.
I believe this doll was originally designed in the 1950's as a wedding cake topper. At 6" it is a bit tall for 1" scale, however, it worked very well in the bridal shop miniature setting that was its original home. Excellent condition.
Ms Prudy stands 4 6/8" tall, porcelain head plate, arms and legs are mid 1950's mold by Swallowhill of Canada. She has been hand dressed in white pantaloons and underskirt both lace trimmed.
