Coin silver fish slice by James S. Vancourt of New York City and retailed by Maurice Schooler of New Orleans (c. 1850), 11-5/8" long, 6-1/4" asymetrical slice pierced with crescents around edges and fully engraved with bright cut design surrounding central cartouche with castle and sailboat pictured, very small cracks on scalloped edge and where handle joins blade, raised fiddle tipt handle with feather script monogram "CK" on reverse, marked with makers mark of James S. Vancourt of NYC (c.1840-1860) and "M.SCOOLER" incuse.
