Water pitcher by John Chandler Moore for Allcock & Allen, New York City (c.1832-1844), 8-3/4" tall to top of handle, 9-7/8" to top of rim, 4 1/4" diameter across base, bulbous 12-sided body sits on short 12-sided foot and tapers up to tall neck, large flower and paisley bright cut cartouche on front of body, no monogram in cartouche on front panel, hollow C-shaped handle with thumb support, marked "ALLCOCK & ALLEN" in rectangular punch and "NEW YORK" "J.C.M." (for John Chandler Moore) and "STERLING" incuse underneath.
