Coin silver tea set by William F. Ladd, New York City (c. 1846):
Teapot: 8-3/4" to top of finial, 10" from spout to handle, pear-shaped body with eight concave panels on top half, entire body covered with wonderful bright cut Japanese scenes, S-shaped spout, stands on four cast shell scroll feet, hinged octogonal domed cover with octogonal finial, hollow C-shaped handle with two ivory insulators, feather script monogram "TAW" on one side of body, marked underneath "WM F. LADD" in a rectangular punch and "1846" (script) incuse.
Sugar Bowl: 8-7/8" to top of finial, 7" across handles, same basic shape as teapot except cover is not hinged and there is second handle on opposite side of body, same monogram and maker's mark.
Creamer: 5-3/4" to top of handle, 5-11/16" to top of lip, body same as above except short neck and wide pouring spout, same monogram and maker's mark.
