Rare Sheaf of Wheat creamer by William Thomson, New York City (c. 1815-1820), 8-3/8" tall to top of handle, 5-3/4" tall to top of lip, 7-1/8" long from spout to handle, rounded rectangular body with wide gadrooning around bottom and pinched at the waist and 5/8" wide sheaf of wheat band around shoulder, additional thin sheaf of wheat band around rim, wide pouring spout, body on four fabulous ball-and-claw feet with large feather terminals, cast S-shaped handle with acanthus leaf thumb grip, feather script monogram "R.S." on each shoulder under rim, marked underneath "WThomson" (script) in conforming punch, good weight.
